An education and youth empowerment initiative creating opportunities for brilliant but financially constrained students in federal universities across Nigeria.
It started with a simple belief.
In 2025, TMO Foundation began with a simple desire: to help brilliant young people whose financial circumstances could limit their educational opportunities. We started by supporting university aspirants seeking admission into federal universities in Nigeria.
We did not have everything figured out. But we believed that if we could help one student move closer to their future, that support could create a ripple effect far beyond one person.
In 2026, that vision grew. We expanded our scholarship support to include undergraduates alongside university aspirants, while creating more opportunities for students to develop, connect and make an impact. That year, we supported 10 aspirants and 10 undergraduates through our scholarship programme, and launched the Education Impact Challenge, giving students a platform to identify problems within Nigeria’s education system and present practical solutions.
The journey is still growing. And we remain committed to one thing: …empowered to empower.

Our motto is stated plainly, not preached. It shapes how we treat every student, donor and partner we work with, with sincerity, and without pretending to have information we haven’t yet confirmed.

Michael Olusoji
Michael Olusoji is an education advocate, youth leader and social impact entrepreneur passionate about expanding educational opportunities for young people in Nigeria. He also founded TMO Academy, a free learning platform supporting students preparing for the ICAN examination. A graduate of Economics and Education from Obafemi Awolowo University, Michael is an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA).
